I have two sons who both struggle with reading comprehension and I'd like to try , but wondering if this could this work for two kids at once or would it be better to do each child separate?

at homeschool, all kids do when they are done with their classes, they ignore everybody for 15 hours and sit in their room, and play video games and watch godamn UA-cam all day

It's horrible, you just get fucking depressed, no interacting, no friends, trust me it's not fucking fun, and you won't want to do ANYTHING in life, do not homeschooled, i regretted it

I would love to see more on Ron Paul Curriculum. I have already been researching RPC because it does look very interesting, especially for science and history!

What style is this? My oldest learns best hands-on, so we tend to lean into Montessori and Charlotte Mason. I’m currently using Masterbooks, but this one got me interested a few weeks ago since it’s a flat fee for multiple grades. Would this be a good fit for us?

Im homeschooling my kids in Florida and it’s a very flexible and easy state to homeschool. Plus you can get approved easily for a scholarship for homeschooling students. Other states don’t help with that. 😊

Great video! We've tried out IXL and we definitely have mixed opinions about it. It is definitely a great tool for kids and it also exposes them to answering questions under a timed manner. We've also tried out other options like Beestar which the kids enjoyed more. The kids also liked the online math competition from Beestar so that is also something worth checking out.

We are thinking about using Accellus, but based on your review it doesn’t seem like you think it’s that great?

My kids aren't reading yet and are very resistant to learning to read. They know their settings but not their letter sounds. 5 and 7yo. Any tips for a good program to get them started. I've tried reading eggs and hooked on phonics. Nothing is keeping their attention so far

I didn’t understand the absent thing either because my child has absent and I tried to go on it myself. I don’t know if I’m missing something but I’ve tried several times and nothing happens. I can’t do anything with it so I just gotta leave it blank and she makes it up so so.

Hi Amanda. I loved Readding eggs. This app is brilliant also for English as a second language lerners. I think children can understand the lessons even though (or with automatic translator). I wish I had those apps in my times! Night Zoo Keeper especially is good for that purpose (English as a second language) because it also teaches grammer.

Great video. Thanks for taking the time to review and give your thoughts. I am looking for a complete maths teaching solution that teaches maths from the very beginning right through to the most advanced maths. I see what you are saying, and I have seen others say it, that IXL does not really teach the topics, but it provides a well laid out, extensive set of practice questions, with some nice functionality eg presenting one question at a time, the white board for workings etc. I was wondering if you had any suggestions for something that actually teaches the maths prior to having to try to answer practice questions. Khan Academy seems to be the same as IXL, it has an extensive list of topics but they are almost entirely just practice questions, so you need to know HOW to answer questions, before you can actually try to use these services. IXL is better laid out and has better functionality that Khan, both have an extensive list of topics covered, Khan goes further, into the University level than IXL does. I do like the way IXL relates the topics back to the recommended curricula of your local area. I am in New South Wales here in Australia but mine is included. I really want something that is as extensive and is laid out as well as these two services, but that actually teaches you HOW to do the problems. I don't want to have to find 38 different text books, and manually search for you tube videos on each individual mathmatical topic and try to piece together my own teaching material. I find I am floundering because I don't personally know maths, and yet I am having to construct my own lessons, lesson material, lesson plan so I can eventually have a go at these practice questions on services like IXL, Khan Academy or the various maths preparation/NAPLAN study books (e.g. www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/c/education/books/workbooks-reference-books/numeracy-textbooks-workbooks). I wish someone who knew what they were doing could put together a complete course. Is there such a thing do you know? I would say shut up and take my money if there was! As a separate question? One question I had about IXL is that we can see from their extensive list of topics covered, what they include in their lessons. Do we know what they are missing (if anything)? Do they cover everythign from K-year 12? Or are there topics that we will have to pick up elsewhere. Thanks again for your thorough lovely videos.

I am a student who has been forced to use IXL since 5th grade. And I am going to give my honest opinion. I hate this website. All it does is make you feel dumber than you already are. And that isn't even the worst part. Our teachers would usually give us about 5-7 to do every single week and I still remember crying because of how annoying they were. Even our TEACHER was like "guys they aren't that hard" and then she tried an IXL question and got it WRONG. This website is the definition of money greed and garbage. I hate this website and I have made my decision that it sucks.

Out of all the online homeschool programs that you have seen/reviewed for high school, which one(s) contain the most video content for learning? And of those, which ones seem more "age appropriate" for high school: not boring, and as my daughter would say, "Not cringy."

You have like no real reasons other than your own trauma with school and anecdotes. I have no idea where you've gone to school or who all these miserable kids are that you're seeing but my son and his friends love school and love their community. Also denying that this isn't a privilege for stay at home moms is hilarious.
